Over-the-Counter Tree Orders

For smaller projects, landowners can purchase a variety of native tree and shrub seedlings from the RRCA. Orders are currently being accepted for spring 2021.  Place your order by downloading and filling out the form below and submitting back to the RRCA.  Seedling availability is limited and will be offered first come, first served.

Trees will be available for pickup in April; the RRCA will advise customers of the details.

Land Donations

Landowners in the RRCA's jursidiction may consider donating their land as their natural heritage legacy.  The RRCA acquires land to enhance forest cover, conserve sensitive ecological habitat, and provide recreational opportunities to the public (i.e. Conservation Areas).  To date, the RRCA conserves, manages and protects 665 ha (1,644 acres) of environmental significant land.

The RRCA may receive ecological gifts under Canada’s Ecological Gifts Program (EGP). The ECG provides a way for Canadians with ecologically sensitive land to protect nature and leave a legacy for future generations. It offers significant tax benefits to landowners who donate land or a partial interest in land to a qualified recipient. The RRCA would become responsible for the conservation of the donated land’s biodiversity and environmental heritage.  Contact the RRCA at info@rrca.on.ca for more information.

22nd Annual Tree Giveaway

The RRCA has partnered with its member municipalities and neighboring Conservation Authority (South Nation Conservation) for their 22nd Annual Tree Giveaway!  Since 2000, a total of 44,000 free trees have been distributed throughout Cornwall and SDG contributing to the 1 million trees planted by the RRCA to date!

As much as we would like to accommodate all free tree requests, a limited amount of trees are available.  Tree reservations are first-come, first-served.  Only 1 request is permitted per household.

If you were successful at securing free trees, a pick up location and time will be communicated directly with you by email so that you can safely pick up your trees. COVID-19 precautionary measures will be in place.  It is anticipated that trees can be picked up late-April to early-May.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to increase forest cover in our region in Eastern Ontario.
